The story behind the poem

This is a ‘found poem’ inspired by a selection of verses in the Qur’an (the sacred text of Islam). The idea that everything serves as a sign for those who believe is a repeated refrain throughout the book, stated in many different ways using many different examples but connecting together as a single rhythmic reminder of God’s magnificence. The numbers in brackets are the chapter and verse references for each line.
