Tell us about the last thing you got excited about.

Before today, it was attending my first Leicester City Football Club game of the season last week. Going to a match is always exciting, even when the team isn’t doing well, because anything can happen. But we’re in good form at the moment, so there was every reason to be optimistic going into the game. And it didn’t disappoint – there were lots of twists and turns as the 90 minutes went on and a late goal for us to seal victory, so the excitement carried through from beginning to end.

So that is the last thing I got excited about, but the latest thing to up my excitement levels is hitting the 100th post milestone today in my Publish Everything Challenge. I’ve been putting something from my writing stash here every day since late May, and I wasn’t sure I would keep it up but here I am, ninety-nine poems and one memoir piece later. Yay-moment!

It has truly been a joy sharing my words with you and a confidence builder for doing even more with them, so the next challenge I have set for myself is to read at a spoken word open mic event. Not sure when exactly but it’s on the to-do (to-dare?) list now and I’m determined to make it happen, which means exciting times lie ahead as well.

Wishing you lots of exciting times ahead too 🙂

Peace and blessings,

Nazira
